We're using Management Server 10.1 Build 10.1.0.508. On our homepage, we use a container element to pull in the first two news stories. This container had the global publishing packages set, i.e., to the root, while the actual news stories are published two levels down. I've corrected this in case it was the cause, as the image from the article seemed to being published to the root. I'll reply if the problem reoccurs.
