Our projects are currently running on RedDot 10.1.2 but we need to move to a new server. Therefore, we need to start from scratch, and also wish to upgrade to V. 11 (plus latest hotfix). Our plan is to install V.11 on the new server and then to "import" our exported projects from the old server into the new server and new database.
Quite a few people have discussed upgrading to V.11. Has anyone done a full export of projects from one environment into another. It is our understanding that user GUID's can be retained in the export. If anyone has advice about which objects can be exported and which cannot, that will help in our planning. We need to know which objects may need to be re-created from scratch. For example, we have some assets that are stored outside of the database. But, what about Authorization Groups, publication targets, and other objects? Any advice or opinions about how to approach this will be helpful and appreciated. Thank you.
