This is happening up to several times an hour. The machine freezes momentarily while the SCSI bus resets. Is this an indication my 3 yr old SCSI hard drive is failing? Or is there a problem w/ the controller? (I have two other (newer) drives (EIDE), so it wouldn't kill me to retire the SCSI drive, if necessary. But I need the controller for my scanner...) (SCSI0 is the drive, btw, not the scanner.) Any help deciphering these greatly appreciated! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jun 26 05:24:34 localhost kernel: scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 104587, scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 Write (6) 05 30 b4 02 00 Jun 26 05:24:34 localhost kernel: scsi0: Aborting CCB #12945 to Target 0 [snip] Jun 26 05:24:34 localhost kernel: SCSI host 0 abort (pid 104587) timed out - resetting Jun 26 05:24:34 localhost kernel: SCSI bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0.
