This won't be much help, but I do have a machine running RH5.1 and at least
some SCO apps have worked. However I did get a seg fault when running SCO tar
(which I didn't get in the past with RH5.0) so I'm sure there are issues
somewhere. What they are is a mystery to me.
I'm not sure, but I may have grabbed the iBCS module left over from before I
upgraded the box from 5.0; this could be why it works, or it could also be why
it works poorly; take your pick. I know that I did have trouble making iBCS
apps work before I did a little module tinkering; the stock 5.1 install
definitely did not work, and I think that I tried the recompile route as
well. So if you have it, maybe try grabbing the iBCS module fron 5.0 and
giving it a try.
This is highly inopportune; I was just getting ready to retire our last SCO
box. :(
