That was an error!

Can't say it's beyond repair but, good luck.
If it any reassurance, I've started partitioning everything on a drive and saved
it (using Linux fdisk). After realizing I didn't mean to partition that drive, I
went back, re-repartitioned, wrote it to disk and mounted the drive. All was
still there.
BUT: that was on ext2 filesystems and may not work so great on the overweight
(er,,,fat) things.
For sure, you'll have to make sure you have the settings right for the original
partition. If any of it was overwritten by Linux (save the mbr), it's lost (for
the best, trust me).
