I had this problem using the updated glint yesterday.  I ran glint
from the command line so I could see any errors and it turns out the
update directory contained a subdirectory (jpeg) and that is where it
hung during the scan.  I simply copied the *.rpm files to another
directory and installed from there.

This was running glint 2.6.2.
