I have the PCI version, with 4M ram, ran into same problems.
Get the X332set.tgz file from the official XFree 3.3.2
It contains XF86Setup, missing in RH51.
Install the file in /usr/X11R6, run XF86Setup, say no when asked
if it should use the existing config file (it generates one from
scratch).
Choose 16 bpp (you can get 1600x1200), or 24/32 bpp (and you get
max 1280x1024) (with 4M ram).
