IMHO, this has nothing to do with "computer-geek hazing rituals." I (and
many others) consider writing in ALL CAPS to be bad etiquette, regardless of
the medium, be it digital (e-mail) or analog (typewriter). If you dictated
a letter to your secretary and he/she returned it to you typed in ALL CAPS,
you'd probably go ballistic on him/her as well.
