I'm aware of that. In fact, I'm *painfully* aware of that.
However, I am not obligated to make the slightest concession to their
laziness, nor do I intend to. My advice (which you are certainly
free to ignore) is that such people should be denied any help until
such time as they indicate that they are willing to help themselves
by making at *least* a token effort. To do otherwise simply reinforces
their self-centered belief that the world should come running to their
aid whenever they whine, and uses up resources that are better directed
toward assisting far more deserving people who are *actually trying*.
