Ed...

Here's the situation... I have access to the boxes.. but they don't have a
separate monitor/keyboard... I've got ~15-20 servers... I'd rather not take
the CDs and stand in front of each one change the monitor/keyboard, etc...
or do a ftp/http install, which would require me to physically be typing in
front of each one...

so ..I'm not sure how to go about upgrading the systems to 9.0.... most
frustrating!!!

thanks

bruce

I haven't got much help for you Bruce, but if I understand you correctly
- you want to upgrade a server running on a different site?

I would strongly advise against this if this is true. Things can and do
go wrong, especially with upgrades. Upgrades are hairy to do LOCALLY,
but then at least you can tweak till it works again. If you do it
remotely, there may be a chance that on the first re-boot, you will not
be able to get into the server again remotely.

If this is a time-critical server, and you MUST do it remotely, I
wouldn't attempt it. If it is a case of you not wanting to go down there
but you will if you have to - then go for it. You may find yoursef
on-site to fix it, but it's worth a shot.

Regards,
Ed.
