Neither ppp nor minicom seem to support 28800. It is an internal ZOOM fax/modem.
If I tell either program 19200 it works fine, just slower.

A couple of questions:
1) What do you mean it doesn't work... Do you type and nothing shows up on
the screen, or does the type you are typing show up but the modem does not
respond with "OK"??
2) Is it external or internal
3) What kind of modem is it (Hayes, USR, 3Com, etc...)
