Pardon me for jumping in the middle of this thread but...
1. Is your exports file set up correctly?
2. On the client, is your fstab correct?
3. I had a similar problem, fixed it using IPs instead of names. Have you
tried that?
4. Are you up to date? (On the erratta (spelling?))
Some of these maybe obcious but sometimes we overlook the obvious.
