I am trying very hard to figure out how to make my PPP working too. Can
you provide more details please?

My modem works. I was able to dial out to my university (using the
dial-up
number) and prompted for user id and password. After I logged in, I choose
from a list of services PPP. Then It gave me some garbage and said "NO
CARRIER"

Of course I did not setup anything regarding PPP. I don't have any scripts
(pppOn, pppOff stuff). Because I don't know how to do it.
