Does anyone else have PHYSICAL access to the machine? If so, you
still should log in manually. Sure it takes a minute or so to type in
your username and password, but it's only a minute or so! Just
because it's a "standalone" machine doesn't mean that it's NOT a
security risk. Besides, if you ever get in the habit of disabling the
login procedures, there's a good chance you'll do the same thing on a
system where it MATTERS.
My $0.02 -- get used to logging in, and don't worry about it. If you
don't want to log in, get Windows!
