Aah... so this is why my $HOME/.gtkrc is overridden in the first place.
Never used KDE before, so thanks for the tips :)
|KDE can use gtk themes, by the way - if you want to use them, use the
|"Legacy Theme Importer" in the System menu in the K menu.
Another noteworthy tips to jot down in memory :)
