The Sox under Theo Epstein are all about OBP - and when you think about it, this is a much more meaningful stat than AVG. I bet we have a couple guys in the top 10 for OBP.
Ray - get on that - would ya? ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of William Marino Sent: Thursday, September 03, 2009 10:57 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Where are the bats? With the way Beckett is pitching right now, the Sox would be lucky to win two game against the Yankees. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Thu Sep 03 10:17:47 2009 Subject: RE: Where are the bats? Yeah. Very noticeable to me, too. Just never mentioned it. We have speed and pitching. What wins championships? I'll take the Sox over Yankees in a 7 gamer. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of William Marino Sent: Thursday, September 03, 2009 10:01 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Where are the bats? Okay, living in Virginia and all, I don't read the Globe sports page (by the way, its the only section still worth reading) that often, but here I am on Cape and looking at the baseball stats. What strikes me more than anything is that there are no Sox players in the top ten in batting average. I am used to seeing at least two and usually three. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Red Sox Citizens" group.
