Because a ball can hit the edge and go up. The question should be whether or 
not the ball hit the edge and went forward or backward. Thus, a ball can hit 
the edge, then go up ten feet, and then fall one inch straight down onto the 
field and still be in play.

I did not see this specific HOUR. I am guessing that it was past the edge and 
hit something behind the wall plane and came back onto the field.

Thank goodness they took the HR call away from the umps.  They seem to 
consistently miss that call.

Why is it so hard to understand that a ball that bounces straight up hit the 
top of the wall?
