I'm not even convinced it IS overpaying, I mean $12.5 for a switch-hitting 
catcher? A good hitter with power? And a great
club-house guy? Yeah, he's no Benjie Molina defensively, but I'd take V-Mart 
over Benjie every day of the week.

I think he knows he needs to remain competitive, and I'm generally a fan of 
financial discipline. But I just think V-Mart is the kind of guy you overpay
