Matthew, can you just enjoy the moment? I could see standing against the deal in principle, saying the Sox didn't need to overpay for his particular talents. But why worry about Gonzalez? Theo has that figured out already.
I'd like a little more pop, but I'm a Crawford fan from way back so I cannot complain. And I'm happy the Red Sox are wearing their big boy pants. I feel like I'm getting a $50 per ticket effort.
