I would not use any lights on the rock for this project. The rock is not
curing, it is already cured and It does not sound like there is any life on
the rock right now other than micro algae, and maybe a bit of coralline. If
there are any zooanthids or polyps, I would rather loose a few of them to
gain the advantage over the algae. I would take the opportunity to starve
the algae of light completely for a few days. That may give these guys the
edge when they put it back into the tank, cause we all know, you are not
going to get all the algae by scrubbing. If you weaken it by starving it of
light, then scrub (or scrub then starve) what is left of it may well be on
its way to dying when it goes back into the tank.

Just a thought....

OK, it took me a while to figure it out, but the are probably Ocean
Clear,
not Oceanview. Take a look at:
        http://www.exoticfish.com/oceanclear.html
It looks like the pumps are bought separately, so you will have to
see
exactly what the pumps are, but you can probably use them instead of
the
magnums, basically yes, they are to get the water to the skimmers,
you can
use any pump (sized right, or a ball valve to slow the flow), Ron,
just
recommends the magnums for his skimmers.
As for the rocks curing, I like to do it with light, just sit some
normal Fl
bulbs on top of the containers for now.
