nope, my skimmer is not taking more. I think is because I dont have animals in my tank, only the pistols that arrive with my uncured live rock.

run a series of tests. If it is pollution of the tank then it may lead to
nitrate increase, which is easily detected. It may be that something has
died and is polluting your water.
is the skimmer pulling more waste from the tank?
Paul.

Sorry ! I need to give you more information.
I started with 20 pounds of uncured Live rock, then I added a Pygmy angel ,
all looks good, some polyps, 2 feather dusters, grape caulerpa. three weeks
later, I added 26 pound of dry base rock, then, one of my feather go out
complete of his tube, the only think I am dosing from the beginning is
Kalkwasser dialy during night (one gallon per day). Two days later I lost my
angel. I really dont now why. One or two weeks ago My wife and I detected
the smell. Yesterday I lost my other feather in the same way like the first,
so I take out all the dead rock I introduced before, suposing It has
something wrong, but the smell continues and I am worry about what is wrong
with my tank.
Any idea???

.........dead fish.
I setup my first reef tank on October of last year, and in the past month we
detect a smell like a dead fish. We suposed the drain was the cause, but now
we think is the tank.
Are this situation normal? All the tanks smell a little like fish? what can
be wrong?
TIA.
