Personally, I would not drill a tank unless you have some sort of overflow like you see in pre-drilled tanks with either glass or plastic overflows.  You have to always assume that the worst will one day happen.  If you drill the bottom of the tank, what's to stop it from draining your tank one day?  Sure, you mat be lucky, and it never happens, but...  If you don't want an overflow, drill the side most of the way up the tank.  That way, if the worst happens, it won't drain your entire tank.  FWIW

I am setting a new tank, I had them drill  always in the side, is it better or should I drill it in the botton, IS ANY SISTEM BETTER THA THE OTHER?.
