Greetings, Ben. You might consider a DIY if you have the time to hunt for
parts and tools. There are many good designs on line. I use a Korallin on one
system and it works very well and is very C02 efficient. It was initially a
huge problem tyring to get it to work right but I finally got it going.....I
use a Marine Life Aquatics CR on a 150 gallon prop system. It works great and
you get more for your money with these IMO. These are available at
www.championlighting.com. Marine Depot has the new Korallin CRs @
www.marinedepot.com. Do yourself a favor and get a unit oversized for your
system. They run longer between media refills and get KH/Calcium and pH tuned
faster. Be patient, however, as it can take a few weeks even with very high
effluent KH (over 40 dKH) for your system to be right.
