Shane,

>My question is this, is that normal or do I have a design flaw? If you guys

Normal.

>who have reactors were to run them w/o a check valve in the CO2 line, would
>the water backflow? Do I just need to add a check valve or do I need to move

Certainly would. Either through gravity or the fact that the reactor has a
higher pressure than outside (has to, otherwise fluid would not flow
through it).

>the output of the CO2 to another location? Right now, it is tied in to the

Nope.

>other outputs to the pumps, so it may be getting more pressure than normal.

Might be better if you have it tied to the input of the pump, that way you
get it chopped up into small bubbles, which dissolve faster.

>If I move it to, say the input to the recirculation pump, would that lessen
>the amount of backpressure on the CO2 line?

It will, but water would still flow out.

You have to have a check valve to protect your CO2 equipment.

P.S. Can people please think about deleting the stuff from your replies
that are not required? I just received the digest for this list and it was
just shy of 0.5M! I thought someone must have sent an image to the list again.

Catch ya,
