Hi, Craig. I agree that these ballast are more expensive up front. I have el
cheapo ballasts from Hamilton and PFO. They work great and are very reliable.
They are loud, hot, and suck-up the juice big time....If and when these ever
die I will probably replace them with E-ballasts. IMHO the E-ballast is an
advanced, far superior product (400 watt) than anything else available now.
