hmmm well I will keep an eye on it, most of the rock should be used to the
light but I just put in some pieces that have been in low light for awhile.
Perhaps I will turn those pieces over.

All of my corralline algae on my LR dies off (turns white) in my system,
except on shaded areas of the tank, like the glass under my sea swirl. I
think, at least in my tank, that it is due to too much light for the
corraline. I have about 10.5 wpg, and it just seems to be too much for
corraline. My alk runs at about 4.2, pH at 8.3 and calcium at 420-450 so I
know it is not that....

Sounds like normal 'cycling' assuming your water chemistry and
lighting are
good to go. I don't usually do it, but some people will turn over
the LR
allowing shade on the areas whitening. HTH
