oh craig, you know not of what you speak. Atleast you have an imagination.
Waves DO ACT LIKE SKIMMERS. The foam at the top of the wave is thrown up on
the beach, similar to the way a skimmer produces foam. The rains and the
currents are the water changes, as are the rivers, streams etc. The ocean
is so infinitely large that water does not have to be manually scooped out
and replaced. Man, and your a biology major too, guess you werent the
brightest in your class. Also, have you ever considered that you dont know
about every thing you "want"? Your UV is killing all types of organisms
that in mine and other tanks FEED our corals. How long have you had these
corals? I wouldnt brag about a few toadstools and a moonstone. As for
having an open mind, I KNOW that your UV is killing MANY living things in
your tank that are benificial to your corals.
