Well, you further prove your lack of knowledge. Thank you for bringing up
tides, if you have noticed there is a high tide and a low tide, at high tide
the foam is far up on the beach, as the tide goes back out the proceeding
waves do not bring back the foam. Anyways, go do some research, there is no
way I can change your mind, that is up to you. Besides most scientists/
hobbyists agree on this topic, ask anyone...
Now as for water changes, there is no way we can replicate the earths water
filtering capacity under our tanks in a sump. Instead we do water changes,
instead of sweeping the water away, we simply take it out. We do replicate
mother nature in water changes.
A UV is totally different. What role does a UV play in the ocean? If none,
do you really think YOU can improve upon Earth's natural filtration methods
by sending all of your life filled waters through a high power ultraviolet
light to come out sparkling strerile clear?
To summarize, there ARE factors in the ocean that are simmilar to protein
skimmers, water changes, deep sand beds. There is NOTHING that is simmilar
to Ultraviolet sterilizer in the ocean. If you really think you are
improving upon natures multimillion year old filtration with your 7 years
experience then you are a typical human being.
I'm out, no I am not a scientist but I know enough about science to have a
valid, serious argument. As for my comments on your intelligence, I assumed
that most everyone who took science in 3rd grade knew about the water cycle,
and you have already "stooped" to this level by laughing, not that I give a
$hit. It is interesting how stalwartly you defend your UV, no doubt because
you got ripped off and wont admit it to yourself.
Andrew
PS, I suggest you email Dr. Ronald Shimek, tell HIM how great your UV is....
