Marco,
It sounds like it will work okay for you tank. That sounds like a really big
open brain coral. You sure it is an open brain? If it is, it will do well
with a medium amount of light, and a light to low medium flow over it. You
are going to need to know your alk. These guys do not do well if the alk.
drops to low. Keep it around 3.6-4.2 meqs. Also, for it to continue to grow,
you are going to want to make sure your calcium stays around 400 as well.
Make sure you have a nice open space in the tank for it. 10" is really big,
and if it likes you tank, it will only get bigger. It is going to need a few
inches at least, all the way around it to expand further adn grow.
Basically, you are going to need about a 15" diamter circle for it to keep
it happy long term. Also, they like to be fed, a lot. You should plan on
feeding it at least once a week.
Another note, if you want to bring your nitrates down, you may want to
consider getting rid of the fluidized bed filter, and removing any media you
have in the "dry" section of your wet and dry.
