Subject: Re: MOON
CORAL
I have a green moonstone which is about the size of half a
volleyball. I
have had it for about 5 years. He started out about
the size of a golf
ball. My tank specs:
125 gallon Allglass with
dual integrated overflows
open top
CPR SR6 skimmer
25 watt Aqua
UV
Mag 12 main return pump
Kalkwasser is 100% of make up water added
automatically controlled by an
Aquacontroller Pro
two 250 watt 6500 k
Iwasaki MH's
around 200 lbs. live rock
misc. macro algae's
calcium
carbonate sand substrate (less than one inch deep)
The moonstone is on
the bottom of the tank and loves it there. He fully
extends his polyps
to feed whenever I feed him. He's my favorite coral, and
he's been very
easy to keep! If he keeps getting bigger, I'll need a
bigger
tank!
