exactly!!!!! that�s what�s capilarity principle (hope
that word exists in english) but is a principle in physics that if you have 2
containers conected by any way, and liquid in them, the liquid is
going to be at the same level all the time, so, based in this principle, if you
take out water by any way (say a power head) a water flow will start in
the pvc tube until the level is equal again (which only happens when lights
go out and the power head stops working.)
it is
an easy and safety method to run a filter or refugium without haveng the worry
of overflooding
