Be careful. Don't ever trust a check valve
completely! I learned the hard way! They can and will fail! If
you use one, make sure to get one that does not contain any metal springs or
other parts. Also, make sure you get one that is easily taken apart for
cleaning which is needed on a regular basis. FWIW
