the main problem with iwasaki and icecap e-ballasts are that some times you
need to send the ballast and your bulbs in to get them tuned .
I run 2 400w 65k iwasaki and 6 vho 110w uri actinics.
my sps and clams love it.
what size tank are you useing and what is the depth. as you might not need
the 400's.
I use a pfo retro setup on my tank that uses tar ballasts. the do consume
more power but i dont think its anything to break the bank. plus if one bulb
doesnt fore right away (wich happens more than you think) tar will keep
trying. e-ballasts will not.
