Pat,

The issues that I have run into is the certificate authority issuing the 
certificate not being in the trusted authorities list in one browser or 
another. When that happens the user gets a pop up that the certificate 
isn't "trusted" if I remember correctly. So choose a certificate 
authority that is listed in IE, FF, Opera and Safari to cover almost the 
entire market.
