Hello Don, For very small projects (~less than a few hundred pages) I would recommend using the Eclipse Help System as the Help system framework for your product documentation. You can run the EHS as an embedded help system within your product (if the product is Eclipse-based) or you can serve the EHS as its own standalone product documentation server out on the internet or your intranet.
Here is a beginner's guide to setting up your product documentation in EHS: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/library/os-echelp/ thank you, Paul Arellanes "We must become the change we wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi http://www.facebook.com/arellanes http://twitter.com/paulthomas_tx http://www.linkedin.com/in/paularellanes --- On Fri, 2/18/11, Don <[email protected]> wrote: From: Don <[email protected]> Subject: [Refresh Austin: 5796] Building a product documentation system To: "Refresh Austin" <[email protected]> Date: Friday, February 18, 2011, 11:56 AM Anyone have suggestions for what software to use to create an online help system for a product? Looking for something that is simple to use and provides an intuitive interface. There will probably be less than 100 pages in the entire system. An open source product we be ideal.
