The LLC is in Texas. I've been using my home address and myself as registered
agent for 2 years. But I'm moving houses and also leaving the country for
several months, and I want a more permanent solution for who/where to list as
registered agent. I definitely don't have money to just throw away, which is
why I'm asking for recommendations :)

Also Eric, legally it is required that someone be present at your registered
agent address during all business hours (e.g. in case the state needs to serve
your company court papers). I figure that kind of thing doesn't get checked on
much, but just so you know, I think using your home address is not going to
keep you fully covered, unless someone's always there.
