As far as I know, Danish .dk registrants have to identify themselves with a national digital ID, but there are alternative procedures for foreign registrants. For the HRPC folks, you may want to have a look here: https://www.dk-hostmaster.dk/sites/default/files/2018-06/DIFOs%20kriminalitetsbekaempelse_EN.pdf to understand why this kind of "registrant vetting" has been introduced.
