@auxbuss, thanks for bringing me a little up-to-date.

* The one-liner patch attached here (realtek-pcid.patch), if it enables
speaker output on Lucid out-of-the-box, it seems like a SRU wouldn't
hurt. That still won't enable the microphone though, at least not for
everybody.

* But, if the adc-switch code has been committed to 2.6.36, the drivers
at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules would
solve the mic problem as well, as they contain the latest snapshot. This
goes for both Lucid and Maverick. Can you confirm that it is the case?
