Unlikely, I agree. There _are_ TrueType fonts that can crash Windows,
although the designers usually fix them before distributing them ;)
One approach suggested to font piracy was to include some poisoned
fonts, so that people started distrusting pirated fonts more :-)
X needs to be robust against FreeType crashing, especially when users
install fonts. Possibly the font installer should check the fonts first,
althuogh TT is powerful enough to have a bomb at certain sizes only.
Type 1 fonts are computationally safer, althuogh it's possible to make
a Type 1 font that crashes the Acrobat Distiller, I've been told.
