Why wouldn't the filter be used? If it's a CSQ model that had PL added later, the jumper might still be in. If it were a CSQ model (OEM), the jumper would have to be in or you would have no audio path. Many people might not catch this is they were only using the decoder to gain a PL logic signal.
No problem for me, Neil - just trying to head off a potential problem and help out my fellow list members. After all, you can't assume that any repeater being used by the subscribers to this list is OEM. (maybe on the "REPEATER-BUYER" list, you can. ;-> ) Adi, sorry - I wasn't aware that you were not using a Micor. I just "assumed" that based on Neal's post that said the Micor PL board has the filter (which, of course, it does). I didn't follow this thread from the start. Still, you can interface the Micor PL board with a Mitrek. Personally, I would use the board John Sichert posted - as long as you are only dealing with filtering out one PL tone. In fact, I may be purchasing a few of those myself. 1 Hz wide? Now THAT'S a notch! Joe M.
