Yeah-the book and the spec sheets said 250mW, but the wattmeter said a 
watt or two. I remember because the shop owner made a comment about how 
it was supposed to be 1/4W, but did a lot more...

No hill, but it was a REAL small town. You were never more than 2-3 
miles from the station.

Sorta like the '75 Mustang II (you know, the fancy Pinto version) my 
father had that came with a 302 V8, which was a normal option...but the 
C7 police interceptor tranny wasn't. It turned 10.7 in the 1/4...and 
blew the toque conv. at abt 80,000...

Back to radios, a cusotmer of ours that has their own EDACS trunked 
system on a localized facility has SEVERAL 100W mobiles in the pile-to 
talk to a system that they are never more than a couple of miles 
from...I turn 'em all down as low as they'll go...abt 18W.
