I had this happen to our clubs repeater and I traced it to the MOD
ADJ pot in the exciter. Some contact cleaner and a few wipes on the
pot cured the problem. Also check the pot(s) in the audio card. A
scope will find the problem if you can catch it when the deviation
(audio) is low. 73, John K2GVP
