Thats a loaded question! What kind of equipment are you using? High quality
audio in a 5khz environment is a huge compromise. Some like discriminator
audio direct into a non-pre-emphasized true FM exciter.Good for repeated
audio and linking,lousy for any controller or local audio.If you are using a
PM exciter,forget that one and use pre/de-emphasis.The best sound I have
found is a GE MastrII base station using their rem/rep card and their
pre/de-emph circuits and CTCSS filters. It sounds great! There are lots of
little tricks to spice up the audio depending on what equipment you are
