A friend of mine picked up a few commercial radios
and needs to do a quick check as to the operational status...
The TX is easy - a Bird Termaline.
However the only signal generator he has is a Radio Shack
scanner - a Pro 2005.
Does anybody know what the IF of that scanner is, and
if it uses high or low injection? And is the injection direction
consistent for low/high/UHF bands?
He plans on just programming the scanner to place the local
oscillator on the frequency of interest. This is simply for a
simple test - either the RX hears a signal or it doesn't.
