Most CV Shafts I have seen so far have alot of grease for its design and 
that If you did install a static spring in the grease cup you would need to 
have a clean solder contact.  but I would not go into that until you have 
the tire static issue resolved.

The Tire Talc I read was mainly for Bicycle riders who are agruing over tire 
talc for tubed tires, and so forth as I have gathered info. also I am 
expecing a email in that respect from Bridgestone / Firestone in the next 
few days which I hope to share sometime in the next few days SKED 4 Me is 
work Thurs thru Sat. and possible Sun.
