Kevin, In most audio work, 10kohms is considered a bridging impedance. However, it usually is unbalanced while 600 ohms is usually balanced. If the 600 ohm output is from a transformer with neither side grounded, you should be able to simply connect the 10k load directly to the 600 ohm source. If a ground loop exists and hum occurs, then a matching transformer is called for. Radio Shack has them in stock.
