Hook a dummy load t replace the transmitter.  This
terminates the port and eliminates the poeeibility of
transmitting.  Hook the signal gen to the antenna
port.  See what the receice sensitibity is.  Try this
with a differant receiver on the receive port. Beter ,
worse ?   Try tuning the receiver while hooked to the
duplexer and see if you get any improvement.
