no you can buy it build it and hook up external to the rs50 it can be built into the rm50 but I don't have the rm 50 I have the rs50 and am wondering if I should spend the $45 for the battery backup kit or if the mod for the rs35 on the repeater builder website will be acceptable since I do plan on fusing both positive and negative lines from the rs50 to the batteries and again from the batteries to the load
