I have been watching this thread for a while now, and biting my virtual
tongue the whole time.

But no more.

NOBODY from NHRC EVER quoted ANY price to Mr. Finch. Further, he has not
been treated unfairly by us in any way, contrary to his repeated statements
on this mailing list. One of our core values is fair treatment of all our
customers, employees, and our business partners. We will never flinch from
this.

One of my partners did *email* Mr. Finch that we do offer quantity
discounts on quantities *greater* than 10 units, but we NEVER have
discounted any partial kits for anyone, including our best customers. Our
margin on the partial kits is just too small. (We have, on occasion, given
partial kits and even complete controllers to worthy non-profit organizations.)

We have recently invested significantly in the NHRC-4 with a complete
rewrite of the controller's software, and we doubled the size of the manual.

We believe the NHRC-4 is an excellent value, in both the partial kit and
the assembled and tested units. We know how tight our amateur customers
budgets are--we are hams too--and this is why we do offer partial kit
products for the price-sensitive. The price on our partial kits is as low
as we can tolerate.
