Maybe Im calling it something that it isnt then&
Im thinking of the solid aluminum block with screws and an antenna connection. I was thinking that is the preselector.
I believe someone (more educated than I regarding the Micor) also told me information that at one point in time. Now Im confused.
The UHF preselector mounts to the circuit board and looks
like a aluminum block.
The VHF mounts differently and is a longer, thinner rectangle.
Both do the same function in the circuitry, they just look
different - probably different design teams. On the other
tentacle, the VHF and UHF preselectors in the
Motrac / Motran line looked almost the same - you had to
look at the stamped part number to be sure:
TLD=high band, TLE=UHF
